Looking back onto my portfolio I feel somewhat impressed and happy. Overall I have got quite a selection if items with differing levels of skills and time put into making them, as well as different types of models such as weapons, character/clothing models/ texturing models and environment models to hopefully show off to my universities my variety, my skills, my scale and my texturing with indications that I’m eager to learn. Overall I’m very impressed with my unit 11 portfolio work as well as what I have learnt and done during this project.
●How has your research influenced the planning and creation of your promotional materials including your UCAS Personal Statement?
my research into university opened my eyes in what I wanted to do with my life and allowed me to do additional research into what my life ill become and what I could do with my life, in fact the research is why I am now trying to get into university. I haven’t promoted my online portfolio much however I have uploaded it into the year college server which has allowed me to share it with my college course and I have also been able to see other peoples portfolios to gain influence and inspiration.
●Reflect on your learning and skills – What you have done and why you have done it?
Over this project I have learned quite about about how not only substance painter works but also quite a but about substance designer, a new application I am trying to learn. overall I have produced all of these pieces onto my portfolio because in one aspect or another they look good on my portfolio and show off a range of skills techniques in modeling and the fact I’m eager to learn new application to create better objects.
●Sum up your ongoing evaluations/opinions/reflections that you documented during the project.
Overall my products from this project have been overall quite good, with the amount I have been able to publish onto my portfolio makes me in with a good shout for university and can hopefully impress them. I have also taken into opinion I have asked my tutors over this period, I have tried to follow their instructions in order to make my work look better and to show a wider array of skills which could be use to further influence myself but also shows off my willingness to learn on my portfolio.
●What Promotional work do you feel has worked well and what did not work well? What could you do to improve your work?
Over all I’m very happy with my products, early in the publishing of my models (older models) I have made mistakes with scale and detail, I have got models with N-gons and models which done. I have models which are textured and some which are not. I have also got models which are made using a variety of different applications and methods of creating my end result. I also have models which are single models, and some which are very much dioramas and environment scenes. this gives me a wide array of components to show off to my university to try and get places inn the course.
●Reflect on peer and tutor feedback.
my peer feedback has been fairy basic, as my peer reviews have had little or no description and no targets that were detailed for me to reach. However I have tried to make my work the best it can be judging by my own eyes in the scene when texturing as well as modeling and have been basing my annotation work off of my old projects in terms of language used and reasons being it.
●What have you learnt during this project?
overall I have learnt a great amount about how to use substance designer and substance designer, IT has also allowed mt to experiment with unreal a little with landscapeing and with animations, with this project I have also learnt a bit more about substance designer as I can use it to create unique and tillable textures which I can show off on my portfolio and use on other models. during this project I have also learnt o much more about unwrapping objects which allows me to create better textures for my models. This projects as I have been trying to use different programs to learn and to experiments to see what they can do and how it differs from other applications, such applications were 3DS max, unreal, substance designer as well as techniques like taking a photo of a surface and then trying to create the texture in painter or designer.
